Higher-use accounts can have different economics
A 500-gallon heating account may use much more propane over a year than a generator-only account. Providers can price high-volume, predictable routed customers differently from occasional users.
Questions to ask
- What is the ongoing per-gallon price after any introductory fill?
- Is automatic delivery required for the quoted rate?
- Is there a minimum annual usage requirement?
- Is tank monitoring included or extra?
- Are there tank rental, inspection or account charges?
Why a quote request is more useful than an online calculator
The provider needs to know gallons, ownership, ZIP code, annual use and delivery timing. A calculator can show arithmetic, but it cannot know a dealer's actual account terms.
